DRAFT: needs owner/legal review. This page is a first draft, not legal advice, and must not go live until the owner or a lawyer has approved it.

This explains what Scrunge ("we") collect when you use Joltora and why. We keep it as small as we can.

Who else handles data

Children (COPPA and similar)

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the higher age set by your country, e.g. up to 16 in parts of the EU) without verifiable parental consent. The data a game server needs (username, UUID, IP and chat) can identify a child, so parents and guardians should read this page. Parents can review, correct or delete a child's data, and refuse further collection, by emailing scwunge@ender.bio. If we learn we hold data from a child without consent we will delete it. [Legal review: decide on the consent mechanism, e.g. parent email confirmation, before launch]

Your rights (GDPR, UK GDPR and similar)

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to or port your data, and to complain to your data protection authority. To use these rights, email scwunge@ender.bio with your username and a way to verify that the account is yours. We reply within 30 days. Our legal bases are mainly legitimate interests (running and securing the game), contract (purchases) and legal obligation (accounting). Some records, such as active bans and purchases, may be kept where we have a legitimate or legal reason.

Security and transfers

Access to logs is limited to staff who need it. Data may be processed in countries other than yours, such as where our host and Stripe operate, with appropriate safeguards where required. [Legal review]
